IOGP Europe views on Communication on the Action Plan for Affordable Energy

As Europe navigates the challenges of the energy transition, the need for affordable, secure, and sustainable energy has never been greater. In this position paper, we outline our views on the Action Plan for Affordable Energy, highlighting the critical role of natural gas in ensuring price stability and supporting decarbonization efforts. 

The document presents three key actions to make energy more affordable: diversifying supply sources, strengthening interconnected gas and electricity markets, and re-assessing the need for emergency measures.
