EU Taxonomy Stakeholder Request Mechanism

The Stakeholder Request Mechanism is the tool launched by the Platform on Sustainable Finance (PSF) to overall improve the usability of the Taxonomy Regulation.

IOGP Europe provided its feedback to the questionnaire by proposing both:

• Potential new activities to be added to the Taxonomy
• Modifications to the existing Technical Screening Criteria (TSC)

In so doing, IOGP Europe strongly appreciates the concerted effort to ensure a clear, coherent, and smooth implementation of the Regulation. However, more clarity and granularity are expected for certain provisions. As an example of the primary importance of such a policy ask, IOGP Europe suggested explicitly mentioning carbon capture – a vital element for our industry - to be openly included in Taxonomy.
