IOGP Europe, in collaboration with the European Commission (DG GROW), hosted a dynamic workshop focused on improving interoperability and digitalization in permitting processes. The event brought together industry leaders from energy, energy-intensive industries, mobility, and renewables, alongside EU policymakers and members of the Industrial Forum Commission expert group.
Through interactive discussions, participants explored key challenges in permitting, shared best practices, and examined digital solutions to streamline procedures across Europe. Contributions from businesses, EU Member States, and Commission representatives provided valuable insights into modernizing permitting systems, enhancing transparency, and leveraging emerging technologies like AI for faster decision-making.
The workshop fostered open dialogue and collaboration, with a networking lunch offering further opportunities to continue discussions in an informal setting.
