Växjö CHP
The project involves the integration of a CO2 Capture unit at the Växjö Energi's combined heat and power plant, where forest residues are converted into electricity and heating. The CO2 capture unit will have a capacity of 0.2 Mtpa and could be operational by 2027. Captured CO2 could be used for the production of biofuels or transported via train to the Port of Gothenburg and shipped for permanent storage under the North Sea.
