Prinos Blue H2
The project invoves the construction of a blue hydrogen plant at the onshore facilities (Sigma Site) of Energean near the city of Kavala. The blue hydrogen plant will be supplied with natural gas from the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) which is passing only 2km away from the Sigma Site whereas the CO2 produced will be captured and stored at Offshore Prinos field which is found only 18 km away from Sigma Site.

Notes: Comments: Energean’s longer-term net-zero plan involves the construction of a blue hydrogen plant at the onshore facilities (Sigma Site) 18 km away from Offshore Prinos field. Also, the passing of Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) 2km away from Sigma Site and the planned UGS facility at South Kavala depleted gas field will eventually establish a very important energy cluster in the area.
