Poseidon (UK)
The Poseidon project involves the transportation of CO2 (received from several industrial sources) from the Bacton terminal to the depleted Leman gas field via an offshore pipeline for permanent storage. The project will start operating in 2019 with 1.5 Mtpa injection capacity whereas it is foreseen to increase the injection capacity at 10 Mtpa by 2030 and ultimately at 40 Mtpa at latter stages.
