INNOZHERO

Öresundskraft's Innozhero project aims to build a carbon capture facility at its Filbornaverket waste-fired plant in Helsingborg. The facility plans to capture and store 200,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, supporting the city’s 2030 net-zero goal. By storing biogenic CO₂ from waste, it will achieve negative emissions, offsetting fossil emissions for organizations seeking carbon offsets. Preparations are underway for the final investment decision (FID) in 2025, with ongoing efforts to secure partners, permits, and financing.
