BlueHyNow

With the BlueHyNow project, Wintershall Dea aims to the production of blue hydrogen at the Wilhelmshaven energy hub so as to supply the nearby industry. The capacity of the project will be around 5.6 billion kWh of blue hydrogen per year. The required natural gas will be shipped from Norway and for this reason a new LNG terminal is currently under construction at Wilhelmshaven. The associated CO2 emissions will be captured and shipped in Norway or in Denmark for offshore storage.
