CCS Project

Cemex cement plant

The project involves the demonstration and commercialization of a CO2 capture unit at Cemex cement plant at Rüdersdorf according to the following development phases: Phase A (pilot scale): 100 tons per day / Phase B (demonstration scale): 400 tons per day by 2026 / Phase C (commercial scale): 2.000 tons per day by 2030. The captured CO2 will be combined with hydrogen from renewable sources for the production of synthetic fuels.
