Slite CCS
Slite CCS is currently known as the biggest CCS project in the cement industry. HeidelbergCement aspires to produce carbon-free cement from the Slite cement plant located on the Swedish island of Gotland. According to the results of the pre-feasibility study, Slite CCS project will have the ability to capture 1.8 Mtpa of CO2 which will be shipped for permanent storage in the fields of the North Sea.
