CarboClearTech
The CarboClearTech project, based at Lafarge’s Martres-Tolosane cement plant in Southwest France, aims to capture 700,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, targeting carbon neutrality by 2031. Awarded EU Innovation Fund support, CarboClearTech will be the region’s first CO₂ capture unit, significantly advancing industrial decarbonization. Supported by the Occitanie region, this project includes an open innovation platform for CO₂ capture technologies, launching in 2025, where researchers and companies can test solutions at scale.
