StarFish – Sequestration Technology and Reservoir: Floating Injection and Storage Havstjerne
The STARFISH project, part of the Stella Maris CCS initiative, aims to provide open-access CO₂ storage in the Havstjerne reservoir, located 100 km southwest of Egersund, Norway. Granted an exploration license in 2023, the project will store 42.75 million tonnes of CO₂-equivalent in its first decade, with a GHG avoidance potential of 98%.
