Preem CCS

The Preem-CCS project aims at the decarbonisation of the Preem refinery in Lysekilone which is one of the biggest emitters in Sweden. The refinery emits 1.5 Mtpa of CO2 whereas only its Hydrogen production facility emits 0.48 Mtpa of CO2. The Preem-CCS project aims at the production of Blue Hydrogen with the captured CO2 to be shipped for permanent storage on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
